EmitenTrust.com Seven solutions selected to help credit unions grow membership, strengthen digital engagement, improve operations and support member financial well-being

MADISON, Wis., Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Filene Research Institute's FiLab has announced seven solutions advancing into its 2027 testing cycle, selected from more than 120 applications by representatives from nearly 40 credit unions and system partners at the FiLab Symposium in Kansas City, August 25–27.

The selections address credit union priorities including scam prevention, multicultural service, investing, compliance and business-member growth. Participating credit unions will test the solutions together, sharing the results and building evidence to guide decisions across the credit union system.

"This year's selection was the most challenging yet, and the seven tests credit unions chose from more than 120 applicants reflect where they're most excited for new technology to make a difference for their members, staff, and communities in 2027," said McKaye Black, Filene's Head of Incubation. "We can't wait to see what happens when they put them to the test."

2027 FiLab Tests

KeySavvy — Supports private-party auto lending by managing seller verification, payment processing, title transfer, lien payoff and DMV registration for vehicle purchases financed by credit unions.

Themis — Centralizes compliance and risk workflows, including vendor risk, audits, complaints, marketing review, policies and regulatory obligations, reducing manual work and improving visibility into outstanding risk.

Traduality — Its Fire Lingo platform helps credit unions serve non-English-speaking members across branches, contact centers, financial education and community outreach while supporting multilingual communications.

Discovery: Financial Well-Being Response System — Credit unions will work with behavioral science and technology experts to explore how to identify emerging financial stress and deliver timely support. A synthetic-data sandbox and consumer research will help evaluate signals, interventions and what members find helpful.

The 2027 cycle builds on participation by more than 250 employees from 27 organizations across seven tests in 2026. Results and lessons from those tests will be shared in the coming weeks.
