Feeding Families Foundation Gets $121,500 Boost from Association of Contracting Plumbers to Keep Meals Flowing to Parents at Their Child's Bedside

NEW HAVEN, Conn., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Feeding Families Foundation, a Connecticut-based nonprofit working to eliminate food insecurity for parents of hospitalized children, announced today that it has received a $121,500 donation from the Association of Contracting Plumbers City of New York Inc. ("ACP") following the organization's annual "Plumbing Industry Day" Charity Golf Outing at Old Westbury Golf & Country Club.

The donation will provide additional resources for Feeding Families Foundation to continue delivering meals to parents and caregivers while exploring opportunities to bring its programs to additional hospitals throughout New York, including New York City and Long Island.

The annual ACP charity outing brought together members of New York's plumbing and contracting industry for a day of golf and fundraising. The event featured a full scramble utilizing the club's three nine-hole courses, followed by a cocktail reception, dinner and charity presentation.

Feeding Families Foundation began in New Haven, CT and has since grown into a nonprofit serving parents and caregivers at children's hospitals in multiple states.

Through its flagship Parent Plate Program, the Foundation covers the cost of meals for caregivers and delivers them directly to the hospital room—so parents can stay at their child's bedside without worrying about food or leaving their child alone. There are no applications or eligibility requirements. The Foundation also operates its Local Food Fare Program, which works with local restaurants to provide donated meals to parents and caregivers at participating hospitals.

Vincent Aspromonte Jr., Founder and President of Aspro Plumbing, Inc. and Secretary and member of the Executive Board of ACP, nominated Feeding Families Foundation as the beneficiary of this year's ACP charity outing. Mr. Aspromonte was familiar with the story behind the Foundation, which was created after the founders' daughter was diagnosed with leukemia, and understood its mission to support parents of hospitalized children.
