EmitenTrust.com New nationwide operator charges a fraction of the 12% to 20% typical at Bitcoin ATMs, sells Bitcoin, Ethereum and dollar-pegged stablecoins for cash, and introduces online pre-registration that cuts a first visit to about two minutes

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Americans who buy cryptocurrency with cash routinely pay 12% to 15% in fees at Bitcoin ATMs, and 20% or more at some of the largest national operators. Lowest Fee Bitcoin ATMs, a new nationwide operator, today announced the launch of its first 400-plus machines across the United States with a flat 5% fee on every purchase, a network size that makes the company one of the largest Bitcoin ATM operators in the country at launch.

Lowest Fee Bitcoin ATMs Enters U.S. Market With 400+ Machines and a Flat 5% Fee

The machines, installed in convenience stores, gas stations and shopping centers in Florida, California, Arizona, Texas and other states, allow customers to buy Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and the dollar-pegged stablecoinsTether (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC) with cash. The fee and exchange rate appear on screen before a customer confirms a purchase, and purchased funds are sent directly to the customer's own digital wallet; the company never holds them. Starting today, first-time customers can also complete their identity verification online in advance, reducing the first visit to a machine to about two minutes.

"Bitcoin ATMs have become one of the most expensive ways to buy anything, and the cost is often buried in the exchange rate rather than shown as a fee," said Quincy Mathis, Operations Manager of Lowest Fee Bitcoin ATMs. "We are launching with more than 400 machines and one fee, displayed on screen before a customer inserts a single dollar. The name is not subtle. That is deliberate."

What the fee difference means on a $1,000 purchase

On a $1,000 cash purchase, the gap between operators is easy to see:

  • At a 5% fee, the customer pays $50 and receives $950 in cryptocurrency.
  • At the industry's typical 12% to 15%, the customer pays $120 to $150 and receives $850 to $880.
  • At a 20% fee, the customer pays $200 and receives $800.

The comparison reflects posted percentage fees before exchange rates and is based on publicly reported U.S. Bitcoin ATM fee ranges. A number of operators apply an additional markup within the exchange rate; Lowest Fee Bitcoin ATMs displays both the fee and the rate on screen before every transaction.

A lower-cost way to send money abroad

The company reports that a growing share of its transactions involve stablecoins, digital tokens pegged one-to-one to the U.S. dollar, which customers use to send money to relatives overseas and, increasingly, which small businesses use to pay suppliers and contractors abroad. A customer inserts cash at the machine, and the recipient receives dollar-pegged funds in their own wallet within minutes, to hold or convert to local currency. No bank account is required to send.

For a customer sending $1,000 a month, annual fees come to about $600 at 5%, roughly $1,440 to $1,800 at typical Bitcoin ATM rates, and $2,400 at 20%.

"Families sending money home are the most price-sensitive customers in this market, and they have been paying its highest rates," said Quincy Mathis. "A 5% fee on a stablecoin transfer that arrives in minutes is a different proposition from what they have been offered."

Limits, verification and how a purchase works

Purchase limits are tiered by verification level. Customers who verify with a phone number can buy up to $2,000 per day. Customers who verify with a government-issued ID and Tax ID can buy up to $50,000 per day.

A purchase takes four steps:

  1. Verify, online in advance or at the machine.
  2. Select a cryptocurrency and scan the QR code of your digital wallet.
  3. Insert cash. The running total appears on screen as bills are fed in.
  4. Review the fee and exchange rate, then confirm. Funds arrive in the wallet within minutes.

With the new online pre-registration, customers who have verified in advance simply enter their phone number at the machine. Pre-registration and a machine locator are available at lowestfeebitcoinatms.com.

Consumer protection and compliance

Lowest Fee Bitcoin ATMs is registered with the U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) as a money services business, and its machines operate in compliance with federal and state regulations. Customer data is encrypted. Because cryptocurrency transactions cannot be reversed, the company urges consumers to treat any request to pay a government agency, bank, utility, employer or technical-support representative through a Bitcoin ATM as a scam and to walk away.

Availability

Lowest Fee Bitcoin ATMs are operating now at more than 400 locations, with additional phases of the rollout planned. Consumers can find the nearest machine on the company's website. New customers may enter promotional code LOWEST at the machine for 20% off the transaction fee.
