Monark Markets' Broker-Dealer Subsidiary MMM Securities Receives FINRA Approval to Custody Evergreen Funds in Omnibus Accounts
EmitenTrust.com Approval marks a key milestone in the rollout of Monark's Omnibus platform
NEW YORK, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Monark Markets, Inc. ("Monark"), a fintech infrastructure company connecting private markets to the wealth channel, today announced that its broker-dealer subsidiary, MMM Securities LLC ("MMM Securities"), has received approval from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) to expand its business to carry omnibus accounts holding evergreen fund positions.
With the approval, MMM Securities can act as a single omnibus account holder of record for other carrying and clearing broker-dealers. Those firms keep full ownership of their end client relationships. MMM Securities expects to begin onboarding broker-dealer clients and evergreen funds to the Omnibus platform in the fourth quarter.
This approval is a key milestone in the broader rollout of Monark's Omnibus platform for evergreen funds, which provides market data, end-to-end trade processing, sub-accounting, and settlement for tender offer funds, non-traded business development companies (BDCs), and non-traded real estate investment trusts (REITs). By consolidating fund positions into a single omnibus relationship with the fund's transfer agents, the platform is designed to reduce the operational burden that has historically limited access to evergreen alternatives across the wealth channel, in particular for model implementation platforms.
How it works. Onboarding begins when a carrying or clearing broker-dealer executes an omnibus services agreement with MMM Securities and completes MMM Securities' due diligence and connectivity review. MMM Securities then opens a dedicated omnibus account for that firm and establishes itself as the holder of record with each participating fund's transfer agent, supported by control arrangements that keep fund positions in a good control location. Once live, the partner firm submits client orders through Monark's platform; MMM Securities aggregates activity across the omnibus account, processes subscriptions, tender and repurchase requests, and distributions with each fund, and settles at the fund's published NAV. Monark's technology platform maintains investor-level sub-accounting throughout and delivers daily position and cash reconciliation to the partner firm, which continues to handle client statements, suitability and the end-client relationship.
"I've spent my career close to the moments when market infrastructure changed what was possible, from the early days of online trading to the build-out of digital asset markets. In my view, omnibus processing for evergreen funds is just as significant. It removes the manual, fund-by-fund work that has historically made these products hard to scale, and that operational efficiency is what makes broader access possible," said Brian M. Fraioli, Chief Executive Officer of MMM Securities LLC.
"Evergreen funds have become the fastest-growing product structure within private markets and model portfolios are the fastest-growing area of wealth management, yet these two areas of growth are kept separate because of the missing infrastructure connecting them. The wealth channel has long lacked a standardized omnibus rail for private markets like the one mutual funds have had with Fund/SERV®, and this approval is a major step toward putting that rail in place," said Ben Haber, Co-Founder and CEO of Monark Markets.
