EmitenTrust.com Expansion franchise shines during a record-setting year for Major League Pickleball

PALM BEACH, Fla., Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Palm Beach Royals completed their inaugural Major League Pickleball (MLP) season with a franchise-first playoff series win, national highlight-reel moments, and a growing community footprint across Palm Beach County, all during the most successful year yet for professional pickleball.

MLP set all-time records for both attendance and television ratings across the 2026 season. The MLP Finals in New York City brought in 773,000 viewers on CBS, up 55% from 2025, while MLP Orlando drew 146,000 viewers on FS1 (+224%). PickleballTV streaming reached 415M views (+32%), and league social channels generated 175 million impressions (+61%).

"When we brought the Royals to Palm Beach, we believed this community and this sport were ready for something big, and this season proved just that," said Taylor Meyer, Royals co-owner. "Record crowds, network television audiences and explosive digital growth show professional pickleball has arrived, and we're proud the Royals were part of that story."

A Stellar Season On the Court

The Royals finished in the Top 5 and advanced to Super Sunday at every regular-season tournament, placing 4th in Columbus, 5th in St. Louis, 5th in Orlando, 4th in St. Pete and 5th in New York City. Palm Beach won the franchise's first playoff series in Dallas as the No. 7 seed before advancing to the quarterfinals in Newport Beach.

Sofia Sewing (68% win rate) and Tina Pisnik (67%) anchored the roster and put together an 18–0 women's doubles winning streak. Casey Diamond earned back-to-back SportsCenter Top 10 appearances, as did Pisnik's playoff DreamBreaker shot.

Making an Impact Off the Court

The Royals hosted more than 40 community events across the Palm Beach region, including ongoing Boys & Girls Club programming that introduced local youth to pickleball through clinics, equipment and time with Royals players. The team also launched the Royals Reserve Club and an Ambassador Program to engage fans year-round.

The Royals built a portfolio of corporate partners, including Baptist Health, LaCroix, Transworld Business Advisors, Top Gun Security, Once Upon a Coconut, Ozura and Usual Wines.

On social media, the Royals' Instagram and Facebook channels generated nearly 12 million views and more than 500,000 content interactions, driven almost entirely by organic growth.

The Royals will return to MLP for the 2027 season, looking to add upon their successful debut. 2027 will see the opening of the Boca Paddle facility, which will serve as the team's HQ.

"Our goal from the start was for every Palm Beach resident to feel like part of the Royals family, and seeing fans of all ages pick up a paddle for the first time has been just as meaningful as any win," said Zach Hunter, Royals co-owner. "The support from our fans, partners and this community made our first season special, and we're only getting started."
