EmitenTrust.com Winnow's library of laws and regulations, built by attorneys, becomes the foundation of SpringGRC, an AI compliance platform for financial institutions of all sizes

MARINA DEL REY, Calif., Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Spring Labs Holdings, Inc. ("Spring Labs"), an AI platform for automating risk and compliance operations at financial institutions, today announced the acquisition of Winnow Solutions, LLC ("Winnow"), a regulatory compliance technology platform. Winnow will be a core part of SpringGRC, a new Spring Labs platform that helps compliance teams keep their work current as the law changes.

Most compliance programs track the rules and regulations that apply to them in one place, and the policies, procedures, controls, and tests that satisfy them in another. When a law changes, someone has to work out by hand which workflows it touches and update each one. Winnow supplies the missing link: a structured library of legal requirements, built by attorneys. SpringGRC connects that library directly to an institution's workflows, helps identify workflows that may be affected by change, and helps keep them up to date.

"Every bank compliance program comes down to one question: are we doing what the rules require, and can we prove it?" said John Sun, cofounder and CEO of Spring Labs. "Today, answering that question depends on people keeping thousands of legal requirements in sync with thousands of workflows by hand. Winnow gives us a trusted map of the law as it applies to financial institutions. SpringGRC connects that map to the work compliance teams actually do and helps compliance teams keep that work current as the rules change. That's the foundation of an AI-native operating system for regulated work at financial institutions."

"Winnow was built on a simple idea: institutions and their compliance teams shouldn't have to choose between speed and certainty," said Chris Hilliard, cofounder and President of Winnow. "Our customers trust Winnow to keep them on top of rules and regulations that apply to them, and flag changes before they take effect. Joining Spring Labs means joining a team that shares our conviction that regulatory compliance and modern technology belong together. Together, we will build on that trust, developing new tools alongside, and integrated with, Spring Labs' existing products to keep compliance in one place and help teams stay current as regulations change. We are grateful to our customers and our team, and excited for what comes next."

We built Winnow to put practical regulatory expertise within reach of every financial institution, from the newest startup to the largest, most sophisticated compliance teams. Since then, Winnow has continually evolved. This transaction promises to accelerate that evolution in powerful and exciting ways as part of Spring Labs' AI driven platform, and we're excited to see where it goes from here," said Clint Rockwell, Partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and a cofounder of Winnow.

SpringGRC brings together regulatory tracking, policies and procedures, controls, testing, and case management in a single platform. Each piece of work is traceable to the law or regulation it satisfies. SpringGRC is available today to all existing Spring Labs and Winnow customers in a limited beta, but will be generally available in Q4.
