ST. LOUIS, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- YA Group, an international leader in building consulting and forensic engineering services, today announced the appointment of Jeff Calcagno as Chief Financial Officer. Calcagno brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience to the firm and will play a key role in supporting YA's continued expansion, operational excellence, and long-term growth strategy.
Over the past decade, YA has undergone significant expansion and transformation, becoming one of the fastest-growing multidisciplinary consulting organizations in the industry. Through strategic acquisitions, organic growth, and investments in talent and technology, the firm has expanded its geographic reach and broadened its capabilities across forensic engineering, construction consulting, accident reconstruction and biomechanics, planning and construction advisory services, and forensic accounting. Today, YA employs more than 850 professionals serving insurance, legal, and corporate clients across the globe.
Calcagno's appointment follows the recent addition of CEO Steve Powell and reinforces YA's commitment to building the leadership and operational infrastructure needed to support its next phase of growth.
"As YA continues to grow, the right financial leadership is crucial to scaling our business while maintaining the quality our clients have come to expect," Powell said. "Jeff has a proven track record of building high-performing financial teams and organizations, navigating complex acquisitions, and supporting businesses through rapid growth. We are thrilled to have him bring that expertise to YA."
Calcagno brings extensive expertise leading finance organizations across private equity backed professional and business services companies, including previous CFO roles at CXponent and Frontline Managed Services. Throughout his career, he has supported dozens of acquisitions, overseeing financial due diligence, integration, and the development of scalable financial systems and reporting processes.
As CFO, Calcagno will lead YA's finance function, partnering with executive leadership to advance the firm's financial strategy, strengthen operational performance, and support organic growth and strategic acquisitions. His approach emphasizes disciplined financial planning, data-driven decision-making, and technology-enabled processes that position organizations for sustainable growth.
"YA has built an impressive foundation, with exceptional technical expertise, a strong reputation, and significant opportunities ahead," said Calcagno. "I'm excited to join the team at this stage of the company's evolution. My focus will be on building the financial capabilities and processes that support our people, enable smart investments, and help YA continue delivering exceptional value to clients as we grow."
